Sash window (spring balanced)
These sash windows reproduce the aesthetics of the traditional box sash windows but incorporate spring balances, discretely recessed into the frame, in place of lead weights. The focus of this type of window was to make the box itself as slim as possible, allowing you to match the original sectional sizes as closely as possible. They also have the benefit of costing far less than a traditional box sash window.
